We are fortunate to have so many great opportunities for cycling here in Northern Devon.

So with the help of Richard Chumbley from Active Devon here is a list of fantastic online cycling resources across our region that will hopefully inspire you to get back on the saddle.

Get Cycling – Active Devon – A new webpage and cycling hub, aimed specifically at Devon residents who may be completely new to cycling and want to find out a little bit more on what is on offer in our beautiful county.

Adult cycle confidence sessions – Travel Devon – Completely FREE 2, hour adult cycle confidence session that can be completely tailored to an individual’s needs. Maybe they have never cycled before and want to learn, or they may want to learn how to cycle to a place of work, friends house whilst crossing a busy road or roundabout? A great way to build confidence on a Cycle.

Let’s Ride – HSBC UK Guided Rides & Let’s Ride – HSBC UK Breeze – The new, FREE, volunteer led recreational cycling programme that will be on offer in Northern Devon from mid-May 2021 and what I talked about most in the call. The rides are  FREE to sign up to and are there to encourage people of all abilities, and confidence level to join a local bike ride with a trained ride leader.
As I mentioned, I have some promotional A5 flyers that I can share with you all. If you would like some, please drop me an email.

Social Prescribing and Physical Activity in Devon – Active Devon – Finally, something I Didn’t mention in the call but which may be of interest to some of you, Active Devon are hosting a Free webinar on Thursday 29th April at 9.30 for any Link Worker, Community Connector, Health/wellbeing coach, and coordinators and social prescribers as an opportunity to find out more of the work Active Devon do and how we can collaborate locally to positively impact people in the community.

We hope that helps some of you, and again, if there is any further information you need please contact Richard at richard.chumbley@activedevon.org
