Work in Northern Devon
Here at One Northern Devon we are all about collaboration to improve the quality of life of the people of North Devon and Torridge and address local inequality.
Based on factors, often outside their direct control, people in England experience systematic, unfair and unavoidable differences in the opportunities they have to lead health lives (Marmot Review Feb 2020).
In Northern Devon, people in the most deprived communities can expect to die up to 15 years earlier than those in our most affluent. Our partners have come together out of a moral and social duty to address this inequity.

Co-Production
Too often, communities, service users and citizens have little meaningful input into the development of interventions designed to benefit them, even less so do they have involvement in strategy development.
In One Northern Devon, we believe that co-production of the strategy to reduce health inequalities will have some significant benefits. We think co-production works best when individuals, communities and service providers work together in development and design.
Would you like to be involved in One Northern Devon’s Collaborative Leadership group that will be driving forward the health inequalities plan?
